A SELF-STORAGE facility company in Basingstoke has launched a very exciting Easter appeal.
Access Self Storage has announced the launch of its 2023 Easter Appeal and hopes that Basingstoke locals will put all their chocolate eggs in their store baskets.
This year the campaign - which has seen more than 8,000 chocolate eggs given to dozens of charities since it launched in 2011 - will benefit the store’s nominated charity St. Michael’s Hospice.
Stuart Hillman, manager of Access Self Storage Basingstoke said: “We are all aware that times are hard for many right now, and so we urge our customers and local community to consider buying an extra Easter Egg for someone who may be living in crisis locally, and drop it off at the store, so we can donate as many as possible to those in need, and helped by St. Michael’s Hospice this Easter.”

Gareth Morris, head of operations added: “Our stores very much see themselves as part of the communities we serve, so we welcome the opportunity to help local charities that serve those very same communities.”
Staff have already begun collecting eggs and people are invited to bring donations into the store until March 31, ahead of the charity collection and distribution in time for Easter itself.
Nicky Young, community engagement lead at St. Michael’s Hospice, said “We’re so very grateful for Access Storage’s support throughout the year - helping raise awareness of the Hospice and the compassionate care we give to our patients and their families. This year, it will cost £5.8m to run our services, and with only 16% of that being provided by the Government, we rely on the generosity of our community to help us raise the rest. Thank you so much to Access Storage for thinking of us at Easter.”

Since the Access Self Storage Easter Egg Appeal launched in 2011, more than 8000 chocolate eggs have been donated to dozens of charities across the UK.
Access Self Storage last ran its Easter Egg appeal in 2020 and despite the challenges across the country with Covid, and the appeal having to close early due to restrictions, 1100 Easter Eggs were still collected and distributed across numerous charities across the UK.
