FOR those who love winter, the latest BBC forecast might be the best thing you've read all year.
Snow could fall in Basingstoke not once, but three times next week. Of course, this means it will remain cold, so anyone hoping for spring weather will be disappointed.
Although, with any weather forecast, we must take this news with a pinch of salt and the information below is only accurate at the time of writing.
Monday, March 6, is set to be cold and wet with light rain and drizzle falling all afternoon. The BBC is forecasting snow into the late evening, but with the rain it's more likely to be sleet.

The BBC is forecasting light snow showers on Tuesday, March 7. But, like the day before, these will be mixed in with rain.
Light snow is forecast again on Thursday, March 9, and is forecast to fall from 5pm until 9pm, according to the BBC.
Unfortunately, the Met Office has no snow forecast in their online weather report for next week.
The Met Office is forecasting very cold temperatures, with it expected to fall to -5C overnight.

The full Met Office long forecast for next week reads: "This period is expected to be characterised by winds from the north bringing cold conditions to most areas. This will most likely result in wintry showers across northern and eastern areas, these turning to more organised bands of snow at times.
"Under this regime, many other areas are likely to remain dry with some sunshine, the best of this across inland areas and in the south and west of the UK. During the later part of the period confidence decreases significantly, however there is a risk of some milder and wetter weather pushing into the south from the Atlantic, meaning spells of rain will become more likely across the country.
"Temperatures overall will be below average but may gradually trend up through the period."
