THE Met Office has issued a yellow warning for snow and ice across parts of Hampshire including Basingstoke, Tadley and Hook.
Light snow and rain are forecast across Hampshire on Tuesday, March 7, with temperatures expected to reach highs of only 4 degrees later in the day.
The warning is in place from 9pm on Monday, March 6 until 10am on Tuesday, March 7.

A second yellow weather warning for snow is in place on Wednesday, from 12 am until 11.59 pm. This warning, in place all day, covers all of Basingstoke and Deane.
In terms of what to expect, the Met Office said:
- Some roads and railways likely to be affected by longer journey times by road, bus and train services
- Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
- Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths
