With no scheduled fixtures in December or January, the Basingstoke and District Tennis league resumed in February.
Only a few weeks of the season remain and, with some teams taking the chance to catch-up on missed games, there have been some big changes to the standings.
Men’s Divisions:
Kintbury have wrapped up the Division 1 crown, courtesy of winning all of their matches. Old Basing had pushed them all the way, but a narrow 5-3 win for Kintbury in their match-up was the difference.

It’s close at the top of Division 2, with Oakley A and Andover C still in the running. With these two teams still to play each other, it looks like the division title will come down to their match.
There are four teams in with a shout of topping Division 3. Oakley B currently top the table, but with teams below all having two games in hand, there will be hope of overhauling the current leaders.
Division 4 is probably the least clear Men’s division to call. With 6 matches still to be played, 4 of them involving Preston Candover B.
Ladies Divisions:
There hasn’t been much change in Division 1 of the Ladies doubles competition, with only two matches being played since the New Year. Goodworth Clatford, Andover and Riseley A are all in with a chance of finishing top.

Three teams are currently joint leaders at the top of Division 2, and having all played all their matches it looks like the division might come down to a tiebreaker of sets or games won. However, with Totally Tennis A’s withdrawal, Riseley B might lose the two points that they earned from that win, leaving the Division title down to Preston Candover B or Beechdown B.
In Division 3, Newbury are currently topping the division on 9 points, but if Whitchurch A are able to win their two remaining matches, they can join Newbury at the top.
Mixed Divisions:
If Riseley A can win their remaining match, they will be confirmed as Mixed Division 1 champions. Any slip-up could be punished with Old Basing in striking distance, but they need to win their two remaining matches.
In Division 2, Hampshire Court seem to be in pole position, but it's still all to play for.
Beechdown C sit top of Division 3. But with Hartley Wintney and Andover still having matches to play, they could both join, or even supplant Beechdown at the top.
