Residents in Hatch Warren are fuming after resurfacing works in a Sainsbury's car park have continued late into the night.
The works began on Monday, March 6, and have gone on until the early hours of the morning. Locals say they were not aware that the work would be taking place.
Danni, 32, is a resident in Hatch Warren, who lives near the supermarket.
She said residents had not received any prior warning of the works commencing.

Danni said: "I first heard it on Monday night, I expect it started around 10pm, and carried on until the early hours of the morning. I got up around 3am and they were still working and making noise at that time.
"No one was aware of the works that were being done in the car park prior to this week, and it seems a bit insensitive to the residents around here to not get in touch and make them aware of what is happening."
Danni said she had complained about the noise to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, who told her they were in discussions about using 'quieter' machinery to get the job done.

She added that people as far away as Brighton Hill had heard the noise of the resurfacing, but believed it was coming from the works underway at Brighton Hill roundabout.
She would like an apology from the supermarket and reassurance that they would notify neighbours in the event of more work taking place.
The Gazette contacted Sainsbury's and a spokesman said that the works had been completed on March 10.
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council’s Regulatory Services Manager Rob Draper said: “The council has received noise complaints relating to work being carried out at Sainsbury’s in Hatch Warren last week.
"We are investigating with Sainsbury’s why the work was planned without adequate communication with the council or with local residents. The work that caused the noise has now been completed and so residents should not expect any further disturbances.”
