A 19TH-CENTURY pub in Hampshire is inviting customers to enjoy a seasonal menu of classics this Mother's Day.
The Mutton at Hazeley Heath is newly renovated and with spring-time walks just on the doorstep, is encouraging customers to visit the pub on Sunday, March 19, for Mother's Day.
The pub's head chef, Rob Boer, has curated a menu of nostalgic favourites alongside contemporary takes on seasonal flavours.
Rob, who began his career in Cornwall under Nathan Outlaw, says he is proud to stock his larder with the best of British produce.

This Mother's Day, he will be serving classic British roasts consisting of roasted striploin of beef served with beef fat potatoes, seasonal vegetables Yorkshire puddings or mutton shepherd’s pie with slow braised shoulder of mutton, creamy mash and hispi cabbage.
Followed by desserts such as a honeycomb cheesecake and orange madeleines served with a chocolate dipping sauce.
All next to an open fire.
The pub reopened last October on the fringe of Hazeley Heath Nature reserve after it had been bought and restored to its former glory by the Taylor family and close friend Ashley Hatton with support from hospitality specialists and founders of Truffle Hunting Consulting, Nigel Sutcliffe and James McLean.
The Taylor family said: “For us, it was extremely important that we support local businesses, that’s why The Mutton’s menu features revamped British classics with a conscience; we focus on seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients which we hope will showcase the quality of UK produce.
"The design also reflects the same fusion of old and new: while the pub has fun contemporary features, we have also been careful to maintain that countryside charm of this classic pub. The Mutton is a piece of North Hampshire history and we hope to do it proud through our ownership."
