THE Anvil’s Forge is hosting a special event in May with three performances for youngsters.

You are The Sun will be in Basingstoke on Thursday, May 18.

Combining the joy of gentle classical singing and sensory play, it is an invitation to see beauty in the smallest things, and to let plants be our guides. 

Babies are free to be themselves and grown-ups have a chance to relax, bond and play.

With performances at 11am, 1pm and 2.15pm, audiences will help to celebrate the gift of nature, as a world is conjured out of breath, water, sunlight, and soil in this magical musical adventure for 0-2s.

Presented by HurlyBurly Theatre, this new show, which follows successful tours of Meet me a Tree and The Bug Hotel, offers the opportunity to join others and play with your little one in the company of performers Sarah Forbes and Catherine Carter.

The show lasts 35 minutes and takes place on a flat floor with loose seating. 

One previous audience member said: “So different to other experiences for babies we have been to.”

Another said: “It’s by far the best baby-orientated activity I have done.”
