STAGECOACH has announced major changes on its Basingstoke routes, including more buses on town centre services, and timing changes on most routes.

The bus company said town centre routes will see changes to timing and frequency from April 16 as it looks to improve overall punctuality across the network.

There will also be stand departure changes at the bus station.

Some services will now additionally serve the bus station.

Following is a full list of route changes, as well as revised timetables: 

1 Town Centre-Brighton Hill: Increased frequency and timing changes across the route, now running five buses per hour Monday-Saturday daytime, and four buses per hour Sunday daytime.

2 Baughurst-Basingstoke: Timing changes across the route to improve reliability.  

3 Town Centre-South Ham: Increased frequency to every 20 minutes Monday-Sunday daytime, and timing changes across the route to aid reliability. This service will also now call into the Bus Station after serving the Rail Station.  

5 Town Centre- West Popley: Increased frequency at weekends, now every 20 minutes Saturday daytime, and every 30 minutes Sunday daytime.  This service will no longer serve the Hospital on a Sunday. 

7 Town Centre-Chineham: Timing changes across the route.

8 Town Centre-Kempshott Park: Increased frequency, now every 20 minutes Monday-Sunday daytime. This service will also call into the Bus Station after serving the Rail Station.

10 Basingstoke-Old Basing: There will be fewer trips on this service.

11 Town Centre-Oakley: The direction of Oakley loop has changed during peak times.

12 Town Centre- Kempshott Park: The 8.17am service serving Queens Mary College, will now terminate after serving the college. It will no longer run back to the Bus Station via Sheppard Road.

13 Basingstoke-Whitehill: The 13 will see timing changes across the route, now running between Basingstoke and Whitehill only. Service 23 will be in operation between Liphook and Haslemere, along with new routes 113 and 123 which serve Alton College. Click here to view changes across the Aldershot network.

14 Basingstoke-Tadley: One early morning departure from Basingstoke will no longer run.

17 Town Centre-Black Dam: Timing changes across the route, including fewer trips.

20 Town Centre-Vyne Park: Timing changes across the route. Early morning trips will now commence from the Bus Station.

There will be no changes to the following services:

4 (Town Centre-Chineham)

6 (Winklebury-East Popley)

15 (Town Centre-South View)

16 (Steventon-Basingstoke)

22 (Town Centre-Sherbourne)

LINK (Basingstoke-Newbury)
