DRIVERS in Basingstoke will have nine road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that six closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M3, from 9pm March 3 to 6am March 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 5, slip road closure for barrier repairs, diversion via National Highways network.
• M3, from 8pm June 20 2022 to 6am April 26 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 6 to 7, Lane closures for barrier works.
• A27, from midnight, March 17 to 11.59pm April 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): abnormal Load - Scunthorpe to Chichester.
• M3, from 9pm December 9 2020 to 6am May 3 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 10, slip road closures for M3 Concrete barrier Scheme, diversion via local authority and National Highways network.
• A34, from 8pm July 20 2022 to 6am May 13 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 both directions Bullington to Whitchurch, Lane closures for barrier works.
• M3, from 9am February 20 to 1pm July 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 5 to 5, hard shoulder closure for inspection works.
And a further three closures will begin over the next seven days:
• M3, from 9pm March 21 to 6am March 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 7 to junction 9, Lane closure for barrier repairs.

• A34, from 8pm March 23 to 6am March 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 11 to junction 12, Lane closures for barrier repairs.
• A34, from 8pm March 31 to 6am April 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A34 southbound, Bullington, slip road and lane closures for barrier repairs, diversion via National Highways network.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
