The mother of missing Charles Knight, who disappeared from his parent’s home in Burghclere two years ago, said her son’s case is set to be highlighted on the programme.

Posting on the Facebook page Find Charlie Knight, Belinda Hooper told followers that Charlie should feature as part of the series, starting on March 30.

Charlie went missing on Wednesday, February 17, 2021.

Officers carried out an extensive search and investigation, including searching areas of woodland and followed multiple lines of enquiry.

However, nothing has led to any information about the whereabouts of the 32-year-old father-of-two.

Last year Belinda renewed her appeal for information a year after her son’s disappearance.

Speaking on February 17, 2022, she said: “I want to appeal to anyone who may have any new information on his whereabouts to come forward.

“This last year has been difficult, and it gets harder every day not knowing where he is or if he is okay.”

The mum previously told ITV News that she will never find closure until her son is found.

She added: “It really does eat away at you. You know, just always thinking, always looking, always searching. My heart is just shattered.

“We’re all grieving but there will never be any closure until Charlie is found and that’s hard to know that could be months, it could be years.”

Every 90 seconds someone is reported missing in the UK. Most are found within hours while many are located in a matter of days. Vanished will focus on those who seem to disappear, often will little or no trace.

The series will include appeals for information and helplines for those who are missing to make contact.

The investigation into Charles is being led by Hampshire Constabulary’s Missing and Exploited Team, which leads on long-term missing person investigation.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: "Charles remains missing and our investigation remains open.

"After Charles had been missing for 18 days and all areas he was likely to be found were thoroughly searched, a decision was made to scale back the physical search for him.

"We will still respond to any potential sightings of Charles, and if these highlight any additional areas to search then we will ensure this is thoroughly reviewed and any necessary additional searches are carried out.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call 101, quoting 44210059947."
