A TADLEY driver has been handed penalty points after driving without due care and attention.
Toheeb Adeleye, of Consort Drive, on June 22, last year, drove a Mercedes Index on Winchester Road roundabout without due care and attention.
During a hearing at Aldershot Magistrates' Court which was held on March 20 the 31-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence.
Magistrates fined Adeleye £394 and ordered five penalty points to be endorsed on his driving license for the offence.
On top of this Adeleye must pay court costs of £110 and a surcharge fee of £39.
A BASINGSTOKE man has been handed points on his driving licence after failing to give information when required to do so by the police.
Ian Finlayson, of Lapin Lane, on September 21, last year, at Farnborough or elsewhere failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a BMW. The driver of the vehicle was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
The 54-year-old was found guilty of the offence during a hearing held at Aldershot Magistrates' Court on March 20.
Magistrates endorsed his driving licence with six penalty points and fined him £311. He was also ordered to pay court costs of £110, and a surcharge fee of £34
A DRIVER from Hampshire has been banned from getting behind the wheel.
Wellington Okello, of Wharf Road in Aldershot, on January 28, this year, failed to provide a specimen for analyses after driving a vehicle in Basingsotke.
Okello pleaded guilty to the offence and during a hearing held at Aldershot Magistrates' Court on March 20, he was sentenced.
Magistrates ordered Okello to complete 100 hours of unpaid work and he was disqualified from driving for 36 months.
On top of this, the 33-year-old has been ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a surcharge fee of £144.
MAGISTRATES have fined a Basingstoke man for resisting a police offer officer who was carrying out his duty.
Kelvin Prout, of Western Way, in August last year, resisted PC Hall in the execution of his duty.
Prout pleaded not guilty to the offence but was found guilty during a hearing held at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on March 20.
Magistrates ordered the 55-year-old to pay a fine of £120 and to also pay court costs of £100 and a surcharge fee of £48.
A HAMPSHIRE man has been banned from getting behind the wheel for months after drink driving.
Jelle Werner Jules Remant, of Farnborough Road, Farnborough, on March 29, 2021, drove a BMW on Edgehill Close in Basingstoke. He had 66 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
During a hearing which was held at Aldershot Magistrates' Court on March 17 he pleaded guilty to the offence.
Magistrates disqualified the 42-year-old from driving for six months and on top of this fined him £675. He was also ordered to pay court costs of £300 and a surcharge fee of £68.
