A BASINGSTOKE care home which features a café, cinema, hair salon and more, is opening its doors to the public.
Dashwood Manor, in Bradley Way, is inviting members of the public from Friday, April 21 to Saturday, April 22 to give people an opportunity to see what life is like inside the care home.
The home aims to ensure residents lead fulfilling lives by hosting activities and day trips, from virtual discos and monthly dog visits to skydiving adventures.
Members of the community can book a place at the open day to meet the team and take a tour around the care home.
Dil Perera, home manager at Dashwood Manor, said: “We can’t wait to show the community the fantastic home we have created here in Basingstoke. The open days allow people to find out what makes our care home so special, as well as get a glimpse of what life is like here at Dashwood Manor on a day-to-day basis.
"Visitors will also be able to find out more about the types of activities that will be available, as well as our cuisine and other amenities. Ultimately, it’s a great opportunity for people to get a real feel of the place."
During the day, the catering team at the home will be providing afternoon tea including cakes and freshly baked scones.
Dashwood Manor opened in September 2021 and provides full-time residential, nursing and specialist dementia care for up to 70 residents.
The care home incorporates space for hobby and leisure activities alongside a cinema, bar and outdoor gardens.
