WHAT could you do in 1980s Basingstoke, that you can't do now?
That was the question we posed to our readers on Facebook, and we received an overwhelming number of responses, many are nostalgic and thought-provoking, while others are silly.
Here are a few of our favourites:
Claudia Craggs was all about the nightlife, she said: "Dance on sticky carpets in Martine's!"
Nik Mowbray-Williams misses "going out on the streets to play and hearing the sound of kids playing outside".
Zoë Yelland used to like putting her skates on, she said: "Roller disco at sports centre on Sunday night, the Late Skate."
Hazel Crompton isn't wrong, she said: "Find a department store."
Patricia Marshall used to love: "Attending the carnival at the memorial park."
Andrew Sheldon's answer is relatable to most of us: "Afford to live."
Daniel Nailed had an interesting hobby back then: "Hold on to the back of a dustcart while it was driving."

Nick Pile speaks for all of us: "Watch a match at the Camrose Ground (from my bedroom window!)"
Robin Ian Hewitt would rather not have the aches and pains that come with getting older: "Bend over and touch my toes without groaning!"
Shayla Dean has their priorities right: "Chocolate bars were double the size and your crisp bags were actually full."
Jordan Evans wasn't the only one who said: "Get a doctor's appointment."
