"This has been an incredibly difficult decision for us and one we do not take lightly. Sadly, with the ever-increasing costs of utilities and other overheads, the existing site is simply not viable.
"The good news is that you will still be able to see the majority of our wonderful team in our other Cobbs Farm Shops.
"Hopefully many of you will already be aware of the exciting plans we have to relocate the farm shop to a new purpose-built development on the edge of Basingstoke.
"This new site will encapsulate all the elements that reflect the wider Cobbs ethos, from our award-winning farm shop, butchery and delicatessen to a stunning café serving breakfasts and lunches seven days a week."
A planning application for the new shop has been submitted and staff hope to be up and running at some point in late 2024/early 2025.
The post continues: "We want to thank all of our incredibly loyal customers for their support over these last 10years+.
"We have enjoyed every minute of it and made some great friends along the way. We look forward to welcoming you back to the new shop in due course, where you will continue to find all the very best of local, and beyond.
