MAGISTRATES have ordered a resident from London to take part in rehabilitation activity for fraud offences that took place in Basingstoke.
Pippa Boyle, in November 2021, had in her possession or under her control a passport, Barclays Bank card and utility bill in the name of someone else, for use in the course of or in connection with the fraud.
On the same day, Boyle used the personal details of the same person intending to make a gain, namely purchasing a Parmigiani watch totalling £10,400.
Between November 12, 2021, and February 23, 2022, the 29-year-old obtained contract mobile phone handsets by using the names of five others, intending to make a gain, namely eleven 11 mobile phone handsets valued at £8,847.71 for another, unidentified person.
During a hearing held on April 12 at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court Boyle was ordered to take part in rehabilitation activity for up to 25 days. Boyle had previously pleaded guilty to the fraud offences.
Boyle was ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a surcharge fee of £114.
A BASINGSTOKE drink driver has been banned from getting behind the wheel for more than a year.
Laura Mitchell, of South Ham Road, on February 17 drove a vehicle on Beggarwood Lane and Wedderburn Avenue with 136 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80.
During a hearing held at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on April 13, Mitchell pleaded guilty to the driving offence.
Magistrates banned her from getting behind the wheel for 14 months and ordered her to pay a fine of £120.
Magistrates also ordered the 36-year-old to pay court costs of £40 and a surcharge fee of £48.
A MAN from Basingstoke has been fined after he failed to attend a follow-up drug assessment.
Dale Lewis, of Guernsey Close, on March 14 failed to attend a follow-up assessment at Jacobs Yard following a test for the presence of Class A drugs.
During a hearing held at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on April 13, the 43-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence.
During the same hearing, magistrates fined Lewis £40 and ordered him to pay court costs of £20.
A BASINGSTOKE man who got behind the wheel while disqualified has been handed penalty points.
Nathan Phillimore, of Churchill Way, on March 28, drove a blue Skoda Octavia on the A339 in Headley while disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence.
During a hearing held at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court held on April 14, the 31-year-old pleaded guilty to the driving offence.
Magistrates ordered Phillimore to pay a fine of £276 and endorsed his driving licence with six penalty points.
He was also ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a surcharge fee of £110.
A HAMPSHIRE man has been tagged after he failed to provide a specimen for analysis in Basingstoke.
Jack Crabb, of Merchistoun Road, on March 29, failed to provide a specimen or specimens of breath for analysis, without reasonable excuse, when suspected of having driven a vehicle.
On the same date, he drove a vehicle on Andlers Ash Road without a driving licence or insurance authorising him to drive the vehicle.
During a hearing held on April 13 at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court, the 29-year-old pleaded guilty.
He was ordered to co-operate with the fitting and installation of a tag and monitoring equipment, comply with rehabilitation activity for a maximum of five days and restain from abstaining from consuming alcohol for 60 days.
Crabb has also been fined £165 and £500 respectively, and ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a surcharge fee of £266.
