BASINGSTOKE has been ranked as the sixth-best area in the UK for passing practical driving tests, according to a recent study.
The study conducted by Bill Plant Driving School to reveal the top 10 UK areas for both practical and theory driving tests analysed test centre waiting times, practical test passes, and pass rates to determine the rankings.
Basingstoke's test centre scored 7.61 out of 10, with a practical test pass rate of 62.2 per cent and a waiting time of just two weeks.

It also said 1,990 people passed practical tests in Basingstoke from April to December 2022.
The study also revealed that Belvedere (London) has the longest waiting time for a practical driving test at 24 weeks, with a pass rate of only 36 per cent.
In contrast, there are 21 UK locations with a one-week waiting list for a theory test, while Cromer has the longest waiting time at 18 weeks.
