MAGISTRATES have fined a man from Basingstoke who tried to travel on a train without purchasing a ticket.
Joshua Jake Livesley, of Forsythia Walk, on September 13, last year, at Liverpool Street Station entered a train for the purpose of travelling without having a valid ticket entitling him to travel.

During a hearing held at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court, the 25-year-old was fined £220 and ordered to pay court costs of £175, compensation costs of £76.50 and a surcharge fee of £88.
