DRIVERS in Basingstoke will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A34, from 8pm July 20 2022 to 6am May 13 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 both directions Bullington to Whitchurch, Lane closures for barrier works.
• M3, from 9am February 20 to 1pm July 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 5 to 5, hard shoulder closure for inspection works.
And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:
• A34, from 8pm May 5 to 6am May 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound, Whitchurch to Litchfield, Lane closures for drainage work.

• A34, from 8pm May 15 to 6am May 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 both directions Whitchurch, slip road and lane closures for drainage work, diversion via National Highways network.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
