A NEW mobile clinic is set to open in Basingstoke to help people suffering from different conditions and diseases.
Health researcher, Our Future Health, alongside the NHS will be opening 16 new clinics in Boots pharmacies across the country, including Basingstoke, and will provide 50,000 appointments in May alone.
Dr Raghib Ali OBE, chief medical officer at Our Future Health, said:
“We’re giving thousands more people the opportunity to learn more about their own health and to help tackle diseases in future.

"Putting our clinics in places which people visit in everyday life, such as supermarkets, shopping centres and pharmacies means it’s easy and convenient for everyone to contribute to health research, particularly people who have never done something like this before.”
Our Future Health aims to transform the prevention, detection and treatment of conditions such as dementia, cancer, diabetes, heart disease and strokes.
With roughly five million volunteers across the UK - people who access the clinics - Our Future Health aims to create one of the most detailed pictures ever of people’s health.
At clinic appointments, as well as having a blood sample and physical measurements taken, volunteers will be offered information about their own health.
Volunteers will also be given the option to receive feedback about their risk of some diseases.
The programme is sending invitation letters to people who live near the new clinics.
Anyone over the age of 18 can join by signing up online, completing an online health questionnaire, and booking a short clinic appointment.
