A CHARITY is preparing to hold its annual fair which is expected to raise thousands of pounds for good causes.
On Sunday, June 4, Loddon Valley Lions Club are holding their annual Tadley Treacle Fair on Saunders Field, behind the new Lidl, between 11am and 5pm.
The fair in previous years has welcomed thousands of people and raised more than £10,000, donated to nearby causes and projects in Basingstoke.
Last year, the Lions Club held a 'Lions Den' event where charities pitched their projects for a share of the pot where they gave £8,500 to seven different projects.

The charity is known for its work within the community, including their recent free prostate screening day at the Tadley Community Centre where 200 men over 40 years old booked in for a blood test.
These tests have potentially saved at least 10 lives as there were 10 red light results.
Also on World Earth Day, Lions members took to the streets to do a litter pick in Tadley where they collected 12 black sacks of rubbish that were then disposed of by Tadley Council.
