Round two of the BTCC championship took place around the 1.20-mile Brands Hatch Indy Circuit over the weekend, writes Tim Crisp.
The drivers faced mixed weather conditions, with wet qualifying on Saturday and a dry, cloudy day on Sunday. The racing was fast, close, and exciting.
Ricky Collard from Hook, driving his Toyota Gazoo Racing UK Corolla GR Sport, had a mixed performance throughout the event.
In Race 1, he started from 14th place and finished ninth. In Race 2, he started and finished in 9th place.

In Race 3, he started from second place and finished in 1st place, but unfortunately, he exceeded track limits and received a 10-second penalty, which dropped him to 8th place overall.
As a result, he now lies in 10th place in the championship standings. The next round will take place at Snetterton on May 20-21.
Harry Foster also participated in the event, driving the Duckhams Yuasa Racing with Team Parker 911 GT3 car in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB Championship.
In Race 1, he finished 12th overall and 4th in his class, and in Race 2, he finished 12th overall and 10th in his class.
Currently, he is in ninth place in the championship standings. The next round will be held at the Ultra Fast Thruxton Circuit on June 3-4.
