A TINY baby donkey has been stolen from her mother from a field near Basingstoke.

Moon, who is less than two months old, was taken from a field at Miller’s Ark in Hook where she was with her mother on May 15.

Elizabeth Miller, who owns Miller’s Ark, said she is “completely devastated and incredibly concerned”.

She added: “She was only born at the beginning of March and needs to be with her mum.”

Appealing for help from the public on social media, Elizabeth said poor Moon would be “braying loudly tonight because she will be missing her mum badly”.

She added: “This is our chance to find her.”

Elizabeth, who opens Miller’s Ark to the public to come and meet and cuddle the animals, has asked anyone who might know who took Moon to return her to the farm, so she can be reunited with her mother, who is "very distressed”.

She added: “Moon also needs her little coats on.”

Miller’s Ark said the incident has been reported to the police.

Hampshire Constabulary said: "Officers are investigating after a baby donkey was stolen from a farm in Hook.
