A BASINGSTOKE business owner is raising money for the special care unit at Basingstoke hospital after they took care of his son.
Kaine Macauley who owns Taboo the Unknown, in Winchester Street, and his colleagues are organising a fundraising night for a cause close to their hearts – the Neonatal Unit at Basingstoke hospital.
On Saturday, May 20, the shisha and cocktail lounge will host a live raffle draw, with a selection of prizes donated by Basingstoke businesses.
Kaine said: “It feels great that everyone around us, even if they are in competition with us, are still showing their support and donating prizes.”
The prizes include a meal for two at Meldiz Turkish Restaurant and another at Tang Chinese; £20 voucher for Citrine Spa Nail Bar; free full head highlights or balayage, toner and luxury treatment with a stylist of your choice with Obsessive Hair Salon; free men’s haircut and style with Kye Formula; and a cocktail making class for four people and a free booth at Plush.
Also included in the prizes is a £50 voucher for Village Hotel; afternoon tea for two at Gabardine Bar; bottomless brunch for two at Duck n Tipple; a £30 voucher for USA Nails and a Dermapen Facial at Pretty Pampered and Perfect.
Kaine and the team hope to raise £1,500 for the neonatal unit.
The fundraising event will run from 6pm-1am at Taboo the Unknown.
People can buy raffle tickets ahead of the night at taboounknown.co.uk, or they can donate funds at gofundme.com/f/neonatal-unit-in-basingstoke.
