IT'S time to pack away those winter coats, according to the Met Office, the Sun is expected to shine this weekend.

After what feels like an eternity of cold weather and neverending rain, Hampshire residents can finally relax as the Met Office has predicted highs of 20 degrees Celsius beginning this weekend.

The Hampshire forecast for the upcoming week, beginning Saturday (May 20) predicts soaring temperatures. But, we have been warned to expect some showers.

Saturday, May 20: Sunny, Highs of 19C, lows of 8C

Sunday, May 21: Sunny changing to cloudy by lunchtime. Highs of 18C, lows of 9C

Monday, May 22: Sunny intervals changing to cloudy in the afternoon. Highs of 20C, lows of 10C

Tuesday, May 23: Sunny.Highs of 19C, lows of 8C

Wednesday, May 24: Sunny. Highs of 19C, lows of 10C

Thursday, May 25: Sunny. Highs of 20C, lows of 10C
