SHOCKING photos show a car on fire on the hard shoulder of the M3 near Basingstoke.
The incident happened on Friday, May 19 and Hampshire Constabulary were called to the scene.
A spokesperson from the team said: "We were called at 11.43am today, Friday, 19 May to a report of a car on fire on the hard shoulder of the M3 between junctions 6 and 5 northbound.
"Officers attended along with Highways and the fire service who dealt with the fire. No injuries reported."

A spokesperson from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service added: "Basingstoke and Odiham firefighters were called shortly before midday to a car fire on the northbound M3 carriageway between Basingstoke and Hook.
"The HIWFRS Control Room received multiple calls reporting the fire.
"The road was closed as firefighters tackled the fire which severely damaged the car.
"Firefighters in breathing apparatus used a high-pressure hose reel to extinguish the blaze.
"HIWFRS left the scene following the stop message at 12:24."
