The latest rounds of the BTCC (British Touring Car Championship) and TOCA support race championships took place at Snetterton circuit, offering fans a thrilling weekend of racing action.
Ricky Collard, from Hook, driving the Toyota Gazoo Racing UK Corolla GR Sport, experienced a series of ups and downs during the eventful races on the 2.96-mile circuit.
In the first race, Collard encountered a water pump issue on lap 5, forcing him to retire from the race despite starting from an impressive fifth position on the grid.
However, the determined Hampshire driver bounced back in race 2, starting from 27th and putting on a strong performance to finish in an impressive 13th place.
In the final race of the day, Collard continued his point-scoring streak, crossing the line in 14th position in the red and white Toyota.
With the teams now setting their sights on Ricky Collard's home round at the fast-paced Thruxton Circuit on June 3-4, he currently sits 13th in the championship standings with 40 points.
Collard will be eager to build on his performance and secure valuable points in front of his home crowd.
Meanwhile, the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB Championship also held its second round of the season at Snetterton.
Local drivers Edward Stanton (#8) and Matthew Kyle-Henney (#25), both competing in their Toro Verde GT 718 GT4 Clubsport Cars, put on a closely matched display throughout the day.
In the Amateur Category, both drivers achieved solid results across the three races. Edward Stanton secured two 4th-place finishes and a 5th-place finish in class, showcasing his skill and consistency. Matthew Kyle-Henney, on the other hand, claimed a 3rd-place finish, followed by a 4th-place finish and a 6th-place finish.
The next meeting for the pair will take place at Croft on July 29th and 30th. Matthew Kyle-Henney currently holds 4th position in the title race with 32 points, while Edward Stanton sits in 6th place with 18 points.
The upcoming rounds will present an opportunity for them to further advance their standings and demonstrate their competitive spirit on the track.
