MULTIPLE possible sightings of a baby donkey have been reported by members of the public to the police after she was stolen from her mother at Miller’s Ark.

Two-month-old foal Moon was taken from a field where she was with her mother, Astra, on May 15.

Elizabeth Miller, who owns Miller’s Ark, near Hook, has since appealed to the public for help finding Moon, and said she is “completely devastated and incredibly concerned” for the foal, who needs to be with her mother.

The farm said that a “credible sighting” of Moon was reported on the day she was stolen when a member of the public spotted a donkey in the boot of a car.

Now, Hampshire Constabulary has confirmed that it has received “multiple calls from members of the public with possible sightings of the donkey”.

It said the theft of Moon remains under investigation adding: “All lines of enquiry are being followed up.”

Elizabeth said the farm has been "really touched by all the support shown to us" since Moon was stolen.

This includes the offer by a private donor of £10,000 for Moon's safe return, and a Go Fund Me launched to raise funds for surveillance cameras to prevent any other animals from being taken.
