RESIDENTS are being invited to step back in time and immerse themselves in the nostalgia of past eras at RetroFest at CarFest.
This year's festival is a journey through the decades, celebrating the best bits of the past and giving festival-goers the opportunity to relive fond memories.
From classic cars to vintage fashion, RetroFest has something for everyone across the Bank Holiday weekend on August 25 to 27 at Laverstoke Park Farm, Hampshire.
RetroFest is a nostalgic journey through the past, featuring five incredible decades of cultural and historical significance, starting with the wartime spirit of the 1940’s where visitors can 'Party For Victory'. They can interact with Second World War characters, indulge in a pop-up tea room, and learn the time-honoured skills of knitting and crocheting. Next, visitors can travel to the 1950s for 'Viva Las CarFest' to experience the golden age of America with classic muscle cars, rockabilly music, and diner-themed cuisines.

For the 1960s, festival-goers can enjoy a 'CarFest Summer Holiday' complete with a beach party atmosphere and fun-filled activities. The penultimate leg of this nostalgic journey is the 1970s, ‘Carry On Caravanning’ where the humble caravan hit its peak, and there are plenty of opportunities for the younger ones to play holiday sports and for the parents to lounge under the sun. And last but not least, the 1980s-inspired 'Nobody Puts Chris In The Corner' sees guests taking part in energetic workouts and living their best movie-star fantasies.
At the heart of RetroFest is the Nostalgia Stage, where visitors can boogie through the decades with a fabulous mix of live bands and performances, such as Cats got Rhythm, Johnny Victory, Laura and the Heatwaves and We Are Synthetics. The stage also hosts a variety of activities sure to spark childhood memories, including retro games, quizzes, and much more.

Visitors can admire the vintage vehicles and chat with the proud owners who are always happy to share stories and insights about their beloved retro rides.
