I have just watched Suella Braverman on questions to the home secretary on BBC Parliament.

I would not have watched it but for the controversy around the home secretary and the speeding offence.

Five times she was asked and often the answer given was around immigration issues in the regions of the questioners.

The home secretary could have given an answer of yes or no but choose to say 'I regret speeding and paid the penalty, but we must stop the boats'.

Many people I know are already fed up with the “stop the boats” phrase. If one phrase will help remove this Government then please keep saying it.

But seriously Suella Braverman must resign or else the structure of law and order which this Government claims is safe in their hands will fall apart and no matter how many police are recruited, we still need more and no more so in Basingstoke of which there are too few.
