“Our customers can also shop more sustainably with us, with many of our retailers offering eco-friendly and zero-waste products. The brilliant events taking place here for Basingstoke Green Week will give our visitors the opportunity to learn even more about what they can do to help protect our precious natural resources.”
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council’s cabinet member for the climate and ecological emergency Cllr Chris Tomblin said: “We need everyone to do their bit for a greener borough and so it is great that Festival Place is taking such an active role to support Basingstoke Green Week to celebrate action by communities to tackle climate change and protect nature.
“There’s plenty going on in Festival Place throughout the week and I encourage everyone to visit to take part in and be inspired by the activities as they think about making personal changes to cut their carbon footprints and volunteering locally to take action together with others to make a bigger difference.”
