A WEATHER warning has been issued by the Met Office with the risk of thunderstorms across Basingstoke.
The warning is in place from 12 pm today (Sunday, June 11) to 9pm with the potential for flooding or lightning strikes and some areas may be affected by downpours while other parts of the region will be largely dry.
At the time of writing, thunderstorms are forecast by the Met Office around 5pm, 6pm and 9pm. Of course, this is subject to change.

The Met Office show a 40 per cent chance of precipitation at 5pm with temperatures reaching up to 26 degrees in the afternoon.
Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there may be delays to the train or bus services with sudden flooding or spray leading to difficult driving conditions.
Rising temperatures have led to the increased risk of thunder and showers and a plume of warm, humid air will influence the weather for the rest of the weekend.
