BASINGSTOKE and Mid Hants AC athlete Ben Pattison has been selected to represent Great Britain in the 2023 European Athletics Team Championships.
It will be held from June 20 to 25 in Silesia in Poland.
The news of Pattison's selection comes as no surprise as he consistently clocked 1.45s in his recent races.
Ben had won a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham last year after finishing third in the 800m final.
With exceptional results in three international outings this year, Pattison has established himself as Britain's top-ranked 800m runner, narrowly edging out his fellow Basingstoke & Mid Hants athlete, Reece Sharman-Newell, who currently holds the second-ranking in the country.
