A LOCAL radio station is set for a double celebration to commemorate 75 years of the NHS and its first three months of broadcasting on DAB.
On July 5, celebrations will be happening across the country to commemorate 75 years of the NHS.
At Basingstoke hospital, during the afternoon, the team at Hospital Radio Basingstoke will be celebrating this milestone occasion.
In addition, it will be celebrating a milestone of its own – three months of successful broadcasting on DAB following its launch in March this year.

PR officer and Monday evening presenter, Scott Rawlings, said: "Our team of volunteers have worked very hard in the run-up to launching on DAB and the three months since launch. We are hugely proud to also be able to celebrate the amazing work that the NHS staff here at the hospital do on this special day."

There will be an outside broadcast from the station studio, which is located on the hospital site, with live shows throughout the day and interviews and well wishes with patients and staff. The Mayor and Mayoress of Basingstoke and Deane will also be present.
Hospital Radio Basingstoke is a registered charity that broadcasts 24 hours a day to the patients and staff of Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital through the free radio service on the Hospedia terminals, which are installed at almost all beds within the hospital.
