THE Flying Scotsman has been travelling through Basingstoke, this gallery of 11 stunning photos shows the legendary steam train on its journey through Hampshire.
On Saturday, June 17, the Flying Scotsman, Britain's most famous steam locomotive, passed through the town as part of its centenary celebrations.
The 100-year-old train was pictured in parts of Hampshire, including Winchester, Romsey and Basingstoke, as it travelled on its Journey to the South Coast city of Portsmouth.
This year has marked 100 years of service for the locomotive, which was built in Doncaster in 1923.
The centenary journey through Hampshire was a landmark occasion and was completely sold out.
Prices ranged from the most expensive fare, a Premier Family ticket costing £1045 to the cheapest Standard Junior ticket which cost £125.
Members of the Hampshire Chronicle, Romsey Advertiser and Basingstoke Gazette Camera Clubs, as well as readers of these papers, shared their photos online.
The above gallery features 11 photos from a variety of locations, depicting the world-famous locomotive, which began its journey at London Victoria, early on Saturday morning, before terminating at Portsmouth Harbour.
