MORE than £8,000 of cash has been seized in Basingstoke.
On Tuesday, June 20, £8,170 of cash was seized from Winchester Road which is suspected to belong to Laura Barker of Sinclair Road in Basingstoke.
An application for the continued detention of the cash was made during a hearing at West Hampshire Magistrates' Court in Southampton on Thursday, June 22.

It was deemed that the property was obtained through unlawful conduct and intended for use in unlawful conduct.
Barker was not present at the hearing.
Magistrates approved the application and the cash will be held for another six months.
