A 17-YEAR-OLD girl from Hampshire has been charged with child abduction in Basingstoke.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of taking a child under the age of 16 on February 27 in Basingstoke, without lawful authority or reasonable excuse.

She pleaded not guilty at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on March 1.
The teenager was remanded on conditional bail, with the conditions including being ordered to live and sleep at her address.
The case was referred for a trial.
