A TADLEY drug driver has been banned from getting behind the wheel for nearly two years.
Michael Mackay, of Tunworth Court on December 18, 2021, had in his possession 7 grams of cannabis in Basingstoke.
On the same date, the 44-year-old drove a Citroen Kingsclere Road in Basingstoke with namely 67 micrograms of Methylenedioxymethamphetamine in his blood. He also had 24 micrograms of cocaine in his blood. The legal limit is 10 micrograms.

During a hearing which was held at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on June 21, Mackay was sentenced for the offences after pleading guilty.
Magistrates ordered the drugs to be destroyed and disqualified him from driving for 23 months.
He was also ordered to pay fines totalling £250 and a surcharge cost of £180.
