A TADLEY boy emerged victorious in Round 5 of the Honda Cadet 200 class at the renowned Whilton Mill Kart Circuit.
Racing for Team WIN//R, 12-year-old Trevelyan Sansom led his teammate Sebastian Burlington in a dominant 1-2 finish, securing a well-deserved win in the UK IKR British championship.
He had to do it the hard way, having qualified sixth in a very competitive field of 22 drivers.
Despite a setback in heat two that saw him spin and drop to last place, Trevelyan showcased his remarkable driving skills by mounting an impressive comeback.

He fought his way through the pack and finished in 11th position, setting the stage for an electrifying performance in the following heat.
Starting from 11th, he demonstrated his determination once again and secured a third-place finish in heat three, setting himself up for a promising starting position in the final race.
Trevelyan 's perseverance paid off as he found himself starting from the third position on the grid for the highly anticipated final race.
The opening lap proved to be a crucial moment, as he made a bold move to overtake both his teammate Sebastian and another driver, propelling himself into the lead.
From there, Trevelyan exhibited remarkable composure and skill, distancing himself from the chasing pack.
However, just as victory seemed within reach, an unexpected incident involving a kart that Trevelyan was about to lap caused his teammate, Burlington, to close the gap.

The final lap became a fierce battle between the two Team WIN//R drivers, with positions changing five times. In a remarkable display of skill and determination, Trevelyan managed to overtake Burlington in the final two corners, clinching a hard-earned victory.

Trevelyan is a Year 7 student at The Hurst School in Tadley.
