PARENTS have rated a nursey in Tadley among the top best 20 nurseries in the South East.

Little Tots Nursery in Tadley made it to the top despite there being 2,266 nurseries in the region.

The news comes as the nursery has been rated outstanding in its latest Ofsted report, which was completed earlier this year by inspectors on Monday, April 27.

In the report, the manager of the nursery has been praised for her 'inspirational' dedication to supporting staff members and prioritising their "well-being and professional development'.

The top twenty nurseries in South East England have received an award from the leading day nurseries reviews site, daynurseries.co.uk, with the award based on the nursery’s reviews from the children’s families and carers.

A spokesperson for the nursery said: "We were absolutely delighted to receive the Top 20 South East Nursey Award, together with the 20 Twenty Small Nursery Group UK, as a team we all work so hard, and to have this recognised is amazing. 

"Particularly as these awards are based on parent reviews, it is such lovely feedback for all our staff."

The nurseries were rated on overall standard, facilities and outside space, learning, resources and equipment and ICT, care, activities, staff, food and nutrition, management, cleanliness, safeguarding as well as value for money.

There are over 14,000 nurseries in the UK and 450 nurseries in Hampshire with over 400,000 people working in the childcare sector. Around one million children in the UK attend a nursery.

The awards are based on the review score as of April 28 this year. Nurseries are excluded from the awards if they are not compliant with the regulatory authority.

The awards are based on almost 60,000 reviews from parents, relatives and guardians of children who attend the nurseries.

  • Girls & Boys Nursery Dunsbury Way in Havant 
  • Magpies Pre-school in Gosport 
  • Farley, Sparsholt Outdoor Nursery School in Winchester
