A BASINGSTOKE business held a golf day at Weybrook Park to raise money for charity.
The Exertis Charity golf day was held on June 15, with funds raised going to Mental Health UK. The day involved 48 players split into 12 teams of four, with the average round taking over four hours on what was a sweltering summer day.
A number of volunteers from Exertis played on the day and were supported by staff from Lenovo, Acer, Asus, TP-Link, LG and Fujitsu. A team from Basingstoke Town Football club also came and took part. Exertis sponsor the football club.

The teams and organisations mixed for a great day in the sun, meeting and networking with new people, all while raising money for charity.
The event was organised by two Exertis employees in Neil Armstrong and Kate Hipkin and was supported by Exertis volunteers Melanie Blackman, Pete Samuels, Rosie Gordon, Laura Rowe, Sofia Reason, Jack Lee and James Pagden.
Adam Robinson was the winner of the individual competition, with TP-LInk the winners of the team competition. A raffle was also held and drawn on the day, with donations from various businesses including Obsessive Hair, Wellington Country Park and Beechdown Health and Fitness.

Kieran Vineer from TP-Link said: "The Exertis golf day was a pleasure to be a part of. It was well organised, fun, and most importantly raised plenty of funds for a very worthwhile charity. TP-Link will continue to support Exertis in future events.”
The day was a great success as the volunteers managed to raise over £6,000 for Mental Health UK. Mental Health UK brings together the heritage and experience of four charities from across the country who’ve been supporting people with their mental health for over 50 years.
