A BASINGSTOKE man has been put behind bars after he assaulted women and breached the terms of a suspended sentence.
Richard Herbert, of Arlott Drive, on June 15 assaulted a woman in Basingstoke.
During a hearing held at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on June 29, the 24-year-old was sent to prison for one week.

Magistrates said the offence was committed during the operational period of a suspended sentence.
Herbert pleaded guilty to the offence during the hearing.
