CANADIAN Gael Lubwele the Bison’s leading points scorer last year has joined the Swindon Wildcats as the Herd will not be in action this season as repairs are anticipated for the Basingstoke rink, writes Graham Merry.

For the import forward this will be his second campaign in Britain and he is reunited with long-time Nipissing University team-mate Colby Tower, who played for Swindon last season.

Also in the Wildcats team is former Bison fans’ favourite Russ Cowley and Lubwele adds even more firepower to an already impressive looking offensive unit.

The Bison’s other import last season Marcel Balaz has yet to announce where he will be playing this autumn.
