THE family of a man who died after he was struck by a train have paid tribute to their 'very loving' father.
Scott Cripps, of Water Ridges, Oakley, died on Thursday, June 29.
Scott's family have now paid tribute to him, saying: "Scott was a very loving husband, father and son and was deeply loved by all his family. We would like to ask for privacy at this difficult time.”
Emergency services were called to the railway line near Basingstoke at 1.10pm following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
Paramedics attended however the 50-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers are not treating the incident as suspicious and an inquest has been opened into Scott's death.
The inquest was opened into his death at Winchester Coroner's Court on July 13.
The preliminary cause of death has been given as multiple injuries.
Area coroner Jason Pegg set the full inquest for July 2, 2024.

A British Transport Police spokesman previously said: "Officers were called to the line near Basingstoke at 1.10pm on June 29 following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended, and sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
"This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
