A MAJOR road in Overton will be closed for three weeks as drainage improvement works commenced on Monday, July 17.
Hampshire County Council has announced that the drainage improvement works will be carried out along the B3400 High Street, spanning from Dellands Lane to Harvey's Field.
The junction of Dellands Lane with the B3400 will be closed for the entire duration of the works, which are expected to last for approximately three weeks.

During the works, the affected section of the road will be closed each day from 9am to 4.30pm on weekdays.
However, outside of these hours, including weekends, the road will be open, allowing for normal traffic flow.
Local access will be maintained for residents, ensuring that they can reach their properties conveniently.
The drainage improvement works are aimed at enhancing the infrastructure along the B3400 High Street and mitigating any potential issues related to drainage systems in the area.
