A MAN from Basingstoke has been arrested after he was found with suspected wraps of Class A drugs and cash.
A proactive patrol by Basingstoke’s high-harm team led to the drug-related arrest on Thursday, July 20.
Patrolling officers noticed two men acting suspiciously in an alleyway between Jersey Close and Cleeve Road in Popley just after midday.
As they spoke to the men, a third man arrived on a bicycle.
Officers detained this man, searched him and found suspected wraps of Class A drugs and cash.

Basingstoke Cops took to Facebook to share the news with residents.
The post read: "The 48-year-old man from Basingstoke was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drugs of Class A.
"He remains in police custody while our enquiries into this incident continue.
"Our officers will continue to patrol this area. Please keep reporting any concerns or suspicious behaviour in this area to us on 101, or via the report tool on our website."
