NHS England has conducted its 2023 GP Patient Survey, and the results show the best and worst-rated GP surgeries in Basingstoke.
The GP Patient Survey is an independent survey run by Ipsos on behalf of NHS England. The survey is sent out to over two million people across the UK.
It is the largest survey of its kind conducted by the NHS, the results show how people feel about their GP practice.
The NHS surveyed 760,000 people between January and April 2023, asking what they thought about their local GP surgery, including their experiences of booking an appointment.
More than a quarter of people rated their experience of booking an appointment as poor, the highest proportion in six years.
The results of the survey show that the GP surgery with the highest percentage of patients satisfied with their service had over 40 per cent more satisfied patients than the lowest-rated GP surgery.
