A BASINGSTOKE drink driver who was more than two times the limit has been banned from getting behind the wheel for more than two years.
Charles Symons, of Ashe Lane, on June 22 drove a vehicle in Basingstoke on Ashe Lane with 101 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - the limit is 35.
The 70-year-old also had taken to the roads with no insurance or valid driving licence.

During a hearing held at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on July 11, Symons pleaded guilty to the driving offences.
Magistrates disqualified him from driving for 26 months and ordered him to pay a fine of £1,153.
The 70-year-old must also pay court costs of £85 and a surcharge see of £461.
