BASINGSTOKE magistrates have disqualified a drink driver from taking to the roads for more than a year.
Lisa Simmons, of Folly Cottages in Ashe Warren, on May 19 drove a Ford Focus on Cotswold Close with 87 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
During a hearing which was held at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on July 18, the 50-year-old pleaded guilty to the driving offence.

Magistrates banned Simmons from taking to the roads for 20 months and ordered a fine of £150 to be paid.
Simmons must also pay court costs of £85 and a surcharge fee of £60.
