Van driver fined hundreds for driving carelessly in Basingstoke
A CARELESS van driver has been fined hundreds of pounds after he was caught in Basingstoke.
Stephen Richardson, of Aylesbury, was spotted driving a Renault Master van without due care and attention in Worting Road on November 30, 2022.
The 41-year-old did not plead to the offence, but it was proven during a hearing at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court.
Richardson was fined £440 and given six penalty points on his licence. He must also pay £110 court costs and a £176 victim surcharge.
