FIRE crews in Basingstoke were called to two false alarm incidents in one day at two major buildings.
On Monday, August 21 crews were called shortly after 4am following an alarm sounding at Festival Place shopping centre.
At 7pm crews were called to another alarm sounding at the Crown Heights building on Alencon Link.
A spokesperson from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews from Basingstoke were called shortly after 4am yesterday morning following an alarm sounding at a retail unit in Festival Place.

"It was discovered to have been a false alarm, and firefighters left the scene at around 5am.
"Basingstoke firefighters were called to a sounding alarm at a building on Alencon Link, shortly before 7pm yesterday evening.
"The incident was found to have been a false alarm, with crews returning to the station following the stop message at 19:13."
